Excerpts from AOL
City Guide. . .
This theater has three screens, and its mission is to provide the
community with the best independent and foreign movies around. The
Chelsea concessions are the gourmet junk-food fare that we have
come to expect from art-house theaters (real butter popcorn, gourmet
chocolates), and Cup-A-Joe is right next door for a movie caffeine
burst.
The Chelsea also serves beer
and wine along with its reasonably priced concessions.

Excerpts from AOL
City Guide. . .
This is more than just a great indy theater. This is an icon of
downtown Chapel Hill. The marquee for the Varsity Theatre can be
spotted poking its way out in historical photos and local paintings
since the early 1950s. While Franklin Street's soda shops became
smoothie bars and boutiques became T-shirt shops, the Varsity has
remained. You can count on the Varsity surviving multiplexes to
entertain us for another 50 years.

Son of Rambow
(Rated PG-13, 96 min.) Son of Rambow is a hilariously fresh and visually inventive take on friendship, family, film heroes, and the death-defying adventures of growing up in the video age. The story takes place in 1980s Britain, where young Will Proudfoot is raised in isolation among The Brethren, a puritanical religious sect in which music and TV are strictly forbidden. When Will encounters his first movie, a pirated copy of Rambo: First Blood, his imagination is blown wide open.

Priceless
(Rated PG-13, 104 min.) Jean, a shy young bartender, is mistaken for a millionaire by a beautiful, scheming opportunist named Irene. When Irene discovers his true identity, she abandons him, only to find that love-struck Jean has no intention of letting her get away. Jean's comical attempts to gain her affections gradually evolve into setting himself up as a gigolo at a luxury hotel, until Irene finally starts to warm to her persistent, persuasive suitor. Against the wildly atmospheric backdrop of the south of France, Pierre Salvadori directs this sexy and thoroughly charming romantic comedy, which is a fresh reimagining of the cinema classic Breakfast at Tiffany's.
